2010 Event Raised Over $21,178 !!

Our 2010 Event

Thanks to the children’s efforts and your support, the Kling Street Kids outdid themselves in December 2010 and raised a remarkable $21,178.01 for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles! That nearly doubles last year’s amount raised of $10,893.20 and beats the record set in 2007 by 68% ($12,577.26) This amount includes $1,400 in direct contributions in honor of Michelle Nicastro, but does NOT include the over 28 contributions sent directly to Children’s Hospital in honor of Michelle and/or The Kling Street Kids.

Cady & Callie Stark with the 2010 Total

After 9 years, this brings the total raised directly by the kids (for kids) to $76,864.82!

The amount raised was able to grow due to over $800 in direct Vendor donations / contributions from Starbucks of Toluca Lake, Trader Joes, Red Barn Feed, FedEx/Kinkos, Flowers Talk and priceless silent auction items from Jelly Kats, Flowers Talk, Frank’s Restaurant, Mucho Mas Restaurant, Fast Frame, Sharky’s, Avon, Toyota and many other friends of the Kling Street Kids.

In addition, over $2,500 of the event expenses were directly underwritten by several families so that every cent of the $21,178.01 could go directly to the hospital.

In addition to all of the money, the kids were responsible for delivering 156 “adopted” Beanie Babies and over $1,500 worth of other donated toys to the hospital on Christmas Eve.

The hospital is thrilled and thanks everyone who helped make this the best year ever.

We are hoping that your kids can participate again this December for the 10th annual event.

Thanks for all of your help in making this such a big success!

In 2002, four Toluca Lake kids decided to hold a bake sale for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Since then, the small charity has turned into a highly anticipated fundraiser for Toluca Lake with over 30 active members from 5-18 years old. What kids can do when they put their minds to it is amazing, and it is shown through Kling Street Kids.

Thanks to you, we have raised over $55,000 in the past eight years! See you Thursday and Friday!
